Thirteen Weeks

 

Grace's hair has been doing some crazy things this week.  She's had a little bit of cradle cap and I've been trying to brush it out after her baths.  This leads to her hair semi-drying as I brush it straight back, giving her quite the hairdo.  We tried to tame it somewhat with a bow. Today was also Bryan's birthday.  He turned 28 (he doesn't like how close he is getting to 30).  Grace and I are so grateful for Bryan!

Bunny Swing

 Grace had fun breaking in her little cousin-to-be's new swing.  In fact, she took most of her naps in it.

 

She makes a pretty cute (out of season) Easter bunny.  I just had to post a few more pictures of Grace from Colorado, because I can't get enough of her post-bath curls.

 

Twelve Weeks

I love this little dress that my friend Allison got for Grace. I honestly wish I had a matching one for me.

Flying to Denver

We took Grace on her first flight to visit Bryan's sister Emily and her family.  It was the perfect first flight because it was a very short flight and we flew out of Provo.  The Provo Airport is awesome (it reminds me of Long Beach... but smaller) and it's nice to skip the extra hour or so of travel time (not to mention the lines once you get there).  Grace did so well.  She fell asleep for most of the flight, and was in a good mood when she was awake.

Conan O’Baby

Sometimes Grace’s hair has a mind of its own, especially when she hasn’t had a bath in a day or two.  We noticed that her hair naturally starts to stick straight up, and sometimes she can do celebrity impressions as a result.

 

Crib Baby

I love getting Grace out of her crib after her naps because she is always in the best mood.  She gets so excited when I come in, she kicks her legs like crazy and smiles.  No post-nap-tears from this girl.

 

25 Years

I've been alive for a quarter of a century!  I really can't wrap my mind around that.  I am always forgetting how old I am, and I'm pretty sure I've been 23 for the last two years in my head.

 

I'm grateful to have Bryan and my sweet baby Grace to celebrate with. I love that Bryan's birthday is just over a week after mine because it's like we have a a whole birthday month to celebrate together.

Bathing Suit

I’ve heard you're not supposed to take babies swimming before they’re six month old because their skin is extremely sensitive and absorbent in the early month, and pools are full of harsh chemicals.  Even though I don’t have plans for taking Grace swimming, the fact that she was born in the summer warranted the purchase of a swimsuit.  It’s more of a photo shoot prop than anything else, but tiny clothes are just too cute.

 

Family Pictures Deconstructed

Most of our pictures are of Grace, so I figured we needed some pictures with Bryan and me in them.  It would be nice to get a family picture of all of us, but this is the best we can do on our own.
